Current gold plating technology problems

 

In terms of the current status of gold plating technology, cyanic gold plating solutions are used for cold plating at home and abroad. Essentially, highly toxic cyanic is used as a complexing agent for gold ions in such cyanic gold plating solutions.

 

However, in recent years, some people, for ulterior motives, claim their cyanide plating solutions with a lower concentration of free CN – as micro-cyanide or cyanide-free gold plating solutions. Moreover, the “Cyrkin” cyanide-free gold plating material that has been promoted by the domestic authorities contains a large amount of cyanide. The fundamental way to solve the problem of poisoning of cyanide gold plating liquid is to use a cyanide-free gold plating solution which does not contain any form of CN- in nature.
