Highly stable neutral bright tin plating technology
Capabilities of tin plating

Tin has good electrical conductivity and chemical stability. Therefore, the surface treatment of hot tin or tin plating can improve the electrical conductivity of the lap joint of copper-based electrical connectors (such as bus bars and soft connections).
Due to the uneven distribution of the thickness of the hot tin layer, it is difficult to ensure that the actual contact area of the busbar electrical connection portion is consistent with the apparent area, which reduces the current transmission capability of the busbar. In addition, for local hot tins of large, shaped, and complex power components, it is too challenging or even impossible to perform hot tin.
Different from the hot tin technology, tin plating on the surface can maintain the original flatness of the busbar surface, which is beneficial to improve the effective contact area of the electrical connection.
In order to further reduce the cost of tin plating, only partial galvanizing in the lap joint can also meet the electrical conductivity requirements, and it is not necessary to integrally tin the bus bar.
Brush tinning is a highly efficient, fast, low-cost, easy-to-use method for local tin plating. More and more electric power, electrical appliances, and electronics companies are beginning to use brush tin plating technology instead of traditional hot tin or tin plating.

Problems existing in current tin plating technology

-
The tin plating solution is too acidic, easily corrodes the base metal and the tin layer that has been plated. It is not suitable for the double-sided brush tinning of the busbar (especially the aluminum-based busbar).
-
The tin plating solution is mostly prepared with a divalent tin salt such as stannous sulfate. The stannous ions in the tin plating solution are easily oxidized to tetravalent tin ions during use or storage. The solubility product of tetravalent tin hydroxide is small, and the plating solution is prone to turbidity or precipitation, resulting in premature failure of the plating solution.

Outstanding features of FJY-series high stability neutral bright brush tin plating technology
-
Our FJY-series high stability neutral bright brush tin plating solution is a neutral solution. It is non-corrosive and it is especially suitable for large-area, double-sided tin plating process of busbars.
-
FJY-series neutral tin plating solution does not have oxidation problem of divalent tin ions. It is stable and can be stored for a long time for repeatable use. Moreover, its color can remain unchanged for a long time.
